Family Action FOOD (Members of the Referral site : Food Support)
Family Action has launched Food On Our Doorstep (FOOD) clubs to provide good-quality food at a low cost, while also reducing food waste.
It costs just £1 a year for a family to become a member. Once you’ve joined, you can purchase a bag of tasty food items every week worth approx. £10-£15 for just £4!

The Felix Project
Providing nutritious food and meals for 40,000 people in Tower Hamlets – each year – who are currently facing food insecurity and hunger. Working with 80 community partners in the borough to help people in crisis.

St. Hilda’s East Community Centre Programmes
Food Co-op (Members of the Referral site : Food Support)

St. Hilda’s East Food Co-op is open every Thursday 11:00 am to 3:00 pm You will find us in the hall at St. Hilda’s or outside the community centre on sunny days. All are welcome! The Food Co-op offers fresh fruit and vegetables at affordable prices to the local community, provides a lifeline for housebound older people using the centre, and is a place to shop, chat and meet.

Simple Gifts Unitarian Church
We run a community lunch on the 3rd Wednesday of every month, where you can come along and enjoy a hot meal or bring a dish to share with others.

St George-in-the-East
This is a growing ministry of St George’s, building community with parishioners who are homeless and vulnerably housed. We go out every Monday night with a pop-up table between the two Shadwell stations, sharing food and fellowship with homeless parishioners. Once a month, there is also a fellowship meal in church (usually the second Monday of the month).

Christ Church – Isle Of Dogs
An ecumenical community outreach program run by volunteers coming from St Edmund’s Roman Catholic Church and Christ Church Isle of Dogs.We receive donations from all over the community and are subsidised by local grocers including Asda. Together we support those in need of food and sundries through the food pantry. We also offer spiritual support for those who need it. Tuesdays 10.30am to 12.30pm. Dockland Community Initiative
Have a food bank at Phoenix Court E14 3RF. It is on Sundays from 12pm-2pm
Toynbee food bank
Every Thursday 5pm-6pm but would advise people to come around 4.30pm as there is usually a long queue by then. It is on the grounds of Toynbee and run by another organisation. No criteria, people just present themselves and wait to be served.
